Elastra raises $12,000,000

Elastra Corp., a provider of software used in cloud computing, said Tuesday that it raised $12 million in a second-round financing.  Cloud computing is the Internet-based development and use of computer technology in which the information technology capabilities are provided on a software-as -a-service model.  “For over two years Amazon web services has provided infrastructure services that help companies of all sizes — from small startups to larger enterprises — realize the cost, time, and scaling efficiencies of cloud computing,” said Jeff Blackburn, Amazon.com senior vice president for business development. “We believe that cloud computing will continue to grow into a large industry with companies providing a range of different services.”
