SuppreMol raises $25,000,000

SuppreMol GmbH, a German biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases closed a 15.7 Euro ($25 million) million Series B financing round.  “In particular the Company is focused on the development of soluble Fc?-Receptors (sFcRs) which are recombinant autologous therapeutic proteins endowed with a proven strong immunosuppressive potential. SuppreMol will develop sFcR as a therapeutic for autoimmune diseases such as Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura in the first instance and then Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. The Company promotes an additional program to develop an anti-Fc?RIIb monoclonal antibody to target Fc?R receptors. The Company was founded in 2002 as a spin-off from the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried/Germany.”
