eBuddy.com raises $9,500,000

eBuddy.com, an Amsterdam-based provider of mobile instant messaging solutions, has raised EUR 6.5 million ($9.5 mm) in second-round funding.  Like Meebo, the service allows users to log onto an IM service (MSN, AIM, etc.) using a web interface. In addition to its online platform, it also offers a mobile client. The service is ad-supported and has previously claimed to be profitable.
