IMMI raises $25,000,000

Integrated Media Measurement Inc. (IMMI), a leading provider of data and insight to media companies and advertisers by linking media exposure to consumer behavior, announced today it had closed a $25 million Series C financing.  IMMI is the developer of an end-to-end media measurement system that links media exposure to consumer action. Using a mobile-phone-based digital monitoring system, IMMI tracks almost all media continuously and helps businesses evaluate the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns.  The IMMI phone randomly samples 10 seconds of room audio every 30 seconds…these sample are uploaded continuously to the IMMI servers. IMMI also tracks all local TV and radio outlets, and then compares mobile-uploaded signatures with the IMMI-monitored TV and radio broadcasts. The mobile phone also receives a signal from an IMMI “Bluetooth beacon” when the panel member is at home, so the servers can interpret media exposure as “in” or “out-of-home”.
