Sensimed AG, a manufacturer of medical devices in the field of ophthalmology, is receiving CHF8 million ($4.8 mm).  Sensimed is a medical device company focusing on the design, development, and commercialization of integrated micro-systems for medical diagnosis and treatment monitoring in the area of ophthalmology.  “Our core development product is a first-in-its-category, non-invasive system for 24-hour continuous intraocular pressure monitoring in Glaucoma patients, regardless of their position and activities. At the core of the system is a soft disposable contact lens with a MEMS sensor embedded - Contact Lens Sensor (CLS).”
