D2C Games, a San Mateo, Calif. publisher and developer of downloadable games and interactive entertainment announced that it has secured $6 million on its Series A financing Orr, best known for his early work at nearby Electronic Arts on games like Madden, is viewed as one of Wired Magazine’s “Gaming Gods” and was seen as one of the first solid game designers to embrace gaming on cell phones with his former company, Sorrent. He left Sorrent (since renamed Glu Mobile) to focus on D2C Games’ development studio, Bigdog Games, which already provides intellectual property design for all the current gaming and mobile platforms
